Johan Wickman
Job title: VP, Head of R&D Mobility Services
Johan Wickman is Vice President, Head of R&D Mobility Services, TeliaSonera AB. He also holds the position as head of TeliaSonera Patent Business. Before the recent reorganisation of the group into Business Areas he was acting Corporate CTO. A key focus over the last year has been to bring R&D closer to the market. As a result he has introduced a new method and arena for soft launching R&D results called TeliaSonera Innovation World. Mr Wickman’s background includes Master of Science education in Engineering Physics from Chalmers Technical University. Since 1988 he has been working in the area of Mobile and broadband communications. Initially at Ericsson AB followed by various positions in the Telia group including Mobile communications researcher (more than 20 patents), building up of emerging R&D units, Head of Strategic Business Development and Head of Strategic Partnerships.
